Brief Description of Scholarship Program
Webster University in Thailand (WUT) recognizes that some academically qualified students who would benefit from study at the University are prevented from enrolling due to limited financial resources. In an effort to assist these new students, WUT offers merit and need based Scholarship Program that provide partial financial assistance.
The decision process for these Scholarship Program is competitive. Early application and acceptance for is advised to ensure maximum consideration.
The number of Scholarship Program offered each year is limited and subject to program funding. Awardees are restricted to one Scholarship Program, either Scholarship or grant. Scholarship Program may be renewed subject to normal length of intended degree and the maintenance of satisfactory academic progress conditions.
Scholarship Program Conditions
- For new incoming students only (Not for site transfer students from other Webster campuses)
- Only for full time, and degree seeking applicants ( non-degree and part time are not eligible)
- Apply during admissions process
- Minimum 2.5 GPA from previous institution or have history of athletic achievement.
- Maintain 2.75 Cumulative GPA at Webster Thailand

15 awards for UNDG

Amount per Award of Scholarship Program
UNDG: 50,000 Baht per award
GRAD: 25,000 Baht per award
The awards are for tuition only. Award from Scholarship Program is deducted from the student’s tuition bill. No cash from Scholarship Program is distributed.
The award will be given twice in two consecutive terms/ semester:
- UNDG, 25,000 Baht in the first semester, 25,000 Baht in the second semester. No award given in a summer term. If the awardees start in Fall 2 or Spring 2 or Summer, they get 12,500 Baht in Fall 2, Spring 2 or Summer. And plus another 25,000 Baht in the next semester.
- GRAD, 12,500 Baht in the first term, and another 12,500 Baht in the second term.
Required Documents for Scholarship Program
- WUT Entrance Scholarship Program application form, completed and signed
- A one- page essay giving your rationale for the application of Scholarship Program. This essay for the Scholarship Program should include your personal background, specific examples of your volunteer activities, your international experiences or other similarly interesting information. In addition, it should answer these questions:
Why are you motivated to study at Webster?
Why do you deserve this Scholarship Program over others?
3. Supporting financial documentation for Scholarship Program such as bank statements, tax returns, etc.
